For Whatever That Life Throws

For whatever that life throws
We shall succumb not
to the deadliest of pranks
nor surrender to the silent derisory
We shall play our beats
where necessary
And dance, periodically
Unlike the recent past
when within akimbo glares,
we stood ball-watching
Waiting to notice a sudden spat,
on our conscience,
Before tango reveals,
Then it took three,
now, two

For whatever that life throws
We’ll catch with vociferous chants
And relish the expected auras
Amid the moments of boom
While we defer not,
the gloomy spectacles
We’ll right the wrongs
And choose good over evil,
Hope over fear
Tomorrow over today
As we look on
For whatever that life throws,
eyes shall remain unperturbed
while visions astute
